Curley’s Broiler was built in 1946 as Curley’s Tavern, named after the founder Morris “Curley” Davis. Residing next to the lumber mill it was a working man’s bar, and remained as one of the only watering holes on the south side of town for many years. In 1973 it was sold to Bill Jones and his wife Gloria who kept it as a tavern for ten years. In 1984, in the midst of the Southgate Mall Construction, the Jones’ felt a need in Missoula for a nice, top of the line steakhouse, and Curley’s Broiler was born.
Since then, Curley’s has been regarded as a #1 steakhouse and has won the coveted Beefbacker Award for outstanding and continuing innovation in menuing beef from the Montana Beef Council. We, at Curley’s, pride ourselves on hand cutting Ribeye Delmonico, New York ,and Tenderloin which are all USDA choice cuts. Our Prime Rib is slow roasted throughout the day to provide maximum flavor and tenderness. We hope you enjoy dining with us and we’ll see you soon!
